I was just curious whether NZ has anything equivalent to the Small Business Administration here in the US. It's a government entity that will offer loans to people trying to start small businesses.

There are different help agencies for businesses here, I know in Chch there is one but the name of it escapes me. will try and track it although if you do an internet search you may find it quicker, try canterbury small business
