Just finished the nightshift and thought I'd check things out on NZIS website. Logged in as normal and found That my status had changed from " Selected " to " Decision Successful ". After doing several laps of the living room leaping around and shouting like a madman the wife finally decided to ask what the hell was going on, so I told her. She then proceeded to leap around the living room shouting and screaming. We then went back to the pc, I logged in again and my status had reverted back to " selected ". We then asked each other what the HELL was going on, only in slightly stronger language, Feeling more than slightly let down. Could it have been a glitch in there system ?, because it definately wasn't my eyes. Also, would it be worth ringing them and letting them know what happened, or should I leave it 24 hrs ?
Any ideas anybody
A very p***ed off person

Hi Bubbles,
Go back into the site and click on the 'selected' status. See if it brings up a pop up box saying "Decision Successful ....blah blah blah'. That's what ours does.
I think it just means that it's passed some basic checks and is being passed to London to deal with, and then it the waiting game with everyone else I'm afraid

Millimoo,
I did that the first time I went in and it said " Decision Successful, Blah, Blah, Blah. but now after nearly breaking my neck cartwheeling around like a looney and loogging in again everything has gone back to just " Selected "

Hi John :cool
Welcome to the roller coaster ride! What you've experienced isn't unusual. In fact you should fasten your seatbelt and be prepared for similar situations, not only with the NZIS but with your entire journey because it will be a bumpy ride. :uhoh
That said, Milliemoo is absolutely right, it will be sorted. :yes Our experience like most other's we know has been mostly positive with the NZIS. They do seem to take their job seriously for the most part and are helpful. It just takes time and as with any governmental agency, it is probably much more complicated than it needs to be.
Like you, my wife and I would get very, um, excited about almost anything that affected our dream along the way. We finally settled down and learned just to hang on for the ride. We now have our PR and the NZIS met all of their commitments as promised. They are the masters of under-promise and over-deliver so hang in there and try not to get too crazy...except when the good news comes! Then you're permitted to go a little “chalkers” as they say here! :raebanana

Thanks Rich, for sharing your experience / faith in the NZIS, helps me to stay positive. Not knowing what stage in the process they are at with checking your EOI is the hardest bit :?
Like it's been said many times before - we need more patience . . . . easier said then done. But we'll get there eventually.

We have been sitting on this "decision successful" thing for almost 3 weeks now!
Does anyone know how long it takes before you actually see the ITA?
This is definitely one hell of a bumpy ride!
