Wouldn't it be funny if you could buy 'emigratenz.org' luggage stickers to use when you fly out there. :P Can you imagine seeing someone else with the same stickers on your flight! hohoho Plus you can spot your luggage easily.

Hi,

Yes, Spring 06.... it sounds aggggeeeeees away, but it's only 18 months.

We want plenty of time to save our pennies so that we can survive (if need be) for 6 months in a rental in Devonport, living comfortably. Frodo's in IT so we're hoping he'll secure a decent job in Auckland.

We're also planning a trip in Nov 05, so hope to meet a few recruitment agencies then. Also to check out some of the burbs.

We didn't plan on submitting the EOI so early, but took advantage of the pass mark. By the looks of things, it'll be spring 06 before we get our PR!

We could all order those luggage straps that you put your name on but instead put Emigrate NZ.

Probably only cost a few pounds, then we could sell them to new NZ'rs through the forum.

Hummmmmmm actually I think I can do snazzy labels and things on my Mac.....just need to buy the sticky paper for the printer.:mrgreen:

Errrr, if you're coming out on visitors visa's with no jobs etc and intending to stay here I wouldn't use one of those stickers/labels! You'll already be paranoid and you never know just what those sneaky immigration officers know... who knows, there may be one lurking on this forum :uhoh

you'll all just have to were a conference label that you can wear at the airports and take it off before you come through NZ immigration. either that or a silk rose in your lapel.

I was thinking along the same lines as Moorf - although I agree that luggage stickers and straps would be pretty neat, for anybody who's hoping to get their PR etc by an 'indirect route' it could backfire on them. To fall prey to a 'jobsworth' immigration offer and take a tumble at the last hurdle would be a real bummer.
