We think we've found a house to rent that will allow the dog and we can move in right away. Now we need to buy things to fill it with. Any ideas on where to buy a fridge and washer/dryer (used)? I'm also looking for a good deal on a new mattress. Is there a good part of town to look for these things? I think I'll head to The Warehouse for all the little things. I've looked on trademe a bit but I'm going to need something right away and would prefer to find a place that will deliver.

Susan, I know Otahuhu town centre has a few second-hand shops that sell used electrical appliances and furnitures.

I bought everything almost from trade me, but i did went to Manukau and there are so many manufacturers for furniture and so Cheap. Hope that gave u some ideas i will try to find out with my husband where exactly was were we went 'cos i am kinda useless with directions...oops!
Otara markets on Saturday where the markets are there are also some stores where they sell things very cheap is worth it to have a look around, and also u can find very good food and for cheap, hehe!
Look also in the news papers Wednesdays and Saturdays is when usually they put most of the articles to sell them.

We got all our 'start up' from there. Our container arrives tomorrow so we are very excited.
