Folks,
I was wondering about renting some stuff before our stuff arrives from Europe. I saw the below company in another thread but I was able to see any cookers or stoves or hot-plates etc available for rent.

Does anyone know if the above company has these items for rent? Also how can I find out if my electrical standalone cooker, washing machine etc will work in New Zealand?
Trying to figure out if we should bring them or just buy these items when we get there.
Cheers
Brendan

I'm pretty sure a cooker has to be provided .
It always used to be that when you sold a house in NZ the cooker & curtains stayed .
sure someone actually in NZ will be able to help

Yup cookers are included in houses, so no need to rent. Some of them came out of the ark though:p

Washing machine should work from the UK. We plumbed ours in and worked first time.
We had to rent a washing machine for 3 months before our stuff arrived. We asked in a shop if they knew anyone locally rather than use a well known company. They came up with a small company who said we could have the machine for $70 for the three months, one of the bigger companies wanted that a month
Although when we came to move into our own place my beloved Bosch wouldn't fit in the laundry space so we've gone over to a top loader, haven't been disappointed yet with it.
Most houses have a stove fitted in, maybe worth bringing yours out anyway. Then at least you can sell it on if you're rental/own house has one.

Some of the ones we looked at came out of the filthy ark. In our rental they are all new and included, fridge freezer, dish washer, cooker.
We rented a washer from http://www.mrrentals.co.nz/ until our washer dryer arrived. We then just plugged and plumbed it in. Yay!!!!!!!!!:clap
