Relates to engine size - more specifically to cylinder capacity. An 1800cc car would have 1800 cubic centimetres of available cylinder volume for combustion.

Or something like that.

Bigger the cc the more powerful the engine.

Then I saw some figures of 11,800+ (must have been a typo)


rhetorical question - why not "2000 cc" vs. "CC rating 2000" ?
or better yet, "2.0 L"

I'm only assuming my cc definition is correct - it may well be referring to seomething else - I'd need to see it in context.

my punto is 1242cc = 1.2litre
