I thought there was a thread that covered this but I can't find it so I'll ask again.
Is there a NZ cookbook that can be recommended? .
I'm looking for a NZ River Cottage type of thing that gives tasty but simple ideas based around seasonal food. Im not sure what will be seasonal when in NZ or what some of the new veg, fruit or fish will be like to cook so it's a back to basic. Especially interested in fish cooking as it's something I rarly do in the UK.

One of Alison Holst's books, maybe? She's a kiwi icon, nothing too fancy, could be a good intro.

Have to give the world famous in New Zealand 'Edmonds' cook book a mention here.

If you want simple Kiwi fare this is the one to read. It's a cross between the old fashioned charm af Mrs Beeton and the 21st century 'meals in a minute' idea.

I doubt there's many Kiwi households without a copy.

I have just been introduced to Annabelle White, got a book out of the library and it looks good, fairly simple too

Thanks Diny, Edmonds was my first thought too but I only ever used it for baking and couldn't remember if it has a lot of other meals in it.

Debbie, also try doing a search for NZ recipes on NZ Google (google.co.nz), might give you a few ideas.
