Hello,
as probably many of you know I am very uncertain with my english and really hope I can explain my question!
We are going to move to NZ in the end of may. Our application is still on its way, but we we'll not have PR before (rough estimate) July. So we are going to arrive as tourists. fter discussing all possibilities, we decided to send our container (20 ft) also in the end of may. After calculating everything it is for sure much cheaper to do it this way than storing the container in Germany.
1. Has anyone here experiences with paying duty when arriving without PR? We got packing lists and have to write down how high the value of our stuff is - this is not only for insurance, also for customs authority. I have no idea, how we estimate a book ... or a plate....used bicycle ...
2. And has anyone experiences with storing furnishing and everything? We have to find a job before we know where we settle down and it might take some time.
Thanks for every help!
