Can anyone point me to a url for info on the tax implications of renting (we are the landlords) short-term (furnished )holiday lets, versus longer term standard lease? What is offsetable, etc, etc...

I used to rent out properties but don't anymore. If you haven't already get yourself a good accountant. Keep all receipts for Insurance,repairs,water,rates,lawns/garden etc so that you can claim them back on your tax.
