Hi,
I am off to NZ in a couple of weeks on a WTR and will more than likely be moving around for the first feww months with regards accomodation. Is there are a way i could get a PO Box withg the post office so that i can collect my mail over there and be able to give somebody a bit more of a permanent wa yof conatacting me without knowing where i am going to live?

To be honest - I agree with the thread - takes 2 mins to set up a PO Box & you can choose the post office that best suits you. Otherwise, if you're moving around a lot (i.e. not staying in one area such as Welly or Auckland) you could always try doing Poste Restante - I used that about 12 years ago in Australia & it was fantastic - all you do is give the friends/family a post office name & address & just mark it post restante after your name - they'll hold onto anything that comes in. So long as you visit the PO once a week its free!

Hope that link works! If not copy & paste it - they don't tell you about this service when you set up a PO Box & spend your $125 or whatever it was! to be honest it works just as well - you are just tied to going to the post office when its open though.
