Hi Veronica,
I'm from Germany and perhaps I can answer your question in the near future. A member of a German emigration forum (NZVillage) is a 'bankfachwirt', and he asked a similar question on that forum (http://www.nzvillage.com/NZForum/viewtopic.php?t=2301&start=15 ).
I think he will get a level 5 or better for that education.
Unfortunately the german qualification 'bankkaufmann' is not enough (equivalent to NZQA level 4, certificate of banking).
My first job qualification is a 'bankkaufmann', so I lost 50 points. But with the additional qualification of being a 'bankfachwirt', you should be able to get level 5 or better.
I will observe the thread in the german forum to tell you the results of the NZQA report of the member.
The NZQA response times vary very much, depending on the collaboration with the german education institutions (they are normally responsible for the delay, not the NZQA). I waited nearly 6 months :roll for the result, but I know of other people who got their results in 6 weeks.
