I've spent the afternoon reading old threads on Eastbourne and I know some of you are renting and have bought houses there. I have a few questions but please can I have your thoughts and views on the place? Warts and all, just sock it to me.

Some particular questions.........................

What goes on activity wise in the daytime, any classes or groups? Any contacts to find out more? Dancing, pilates, yoga? Groups for shy, overweight, pinot gris swilling, middle aged girlies?

Is it a free for all on the ferry and will OH get left in wellington overnight if it is full? ;)

Is Pak $ Scratch Petone really the nearest 'big shop' supermarket? :wah

Whats the average cost for a 3 bed rental?

Does my bum look big in this?

I work in town so not up to date with with what goes on here during the day, but I do know there's yoga and there's bound to be much more, certainly in the Pinot Gris swilling department!

No, they let the regulars get on first, anyone with a ten trip, but they soon recognise you, and there's always the bus (or so I've been told:o )

There's a new Woolworth and a new world in Lower Hutt, roughly the same distance and much nicer. The local butcher and greengrocer are both great so no need to leave the village for that.
I usually go to Moore Wilsons in the weekend, I get withdrawal symptoms if I haven't been there for more than a week:rolleyes:

They start around $350. $400 should get you a nice one.

There is also Trademe www.trademe.co.nz (http://www.trademe.co.nz) and www.open2view.com (http://www.open2view.com) and if you look on there, the agents appear in the bottom right hand of the page. I always search through their individual websites too. :D
