Just in the process of completing our EOI and seem to of hit a stumbling block on the qualification section already. :no
Our main application is in my partners name who has a BSC(Hons) in Engineering, which we have found on the recognised list of qualifications.
The EOI asks if this is a recognised qualification and if so what what is the reference number, type and level..we already know the level but are very confused with the other two.
Can anyone shed any light on what these reference numbers are and where they can be found?
Would I also be correct in saying that I would only get 10 points on for my BA(Hons) on my partners application?

Look at the EOI guide when filling in - it is a pain but worth it. Can't remember myself now, seems so long ago, but look at the guide because it gives you so much info.
Cheers

I'd go along with Steve about using the guide, but I think that when they ask for type and reference number they are referring to what it was assessed as by NZQA. You have to have nearly all qualifications assessed by them, be given a number and a level by them. Pain in the neck or should I say wallet! :wah

Hi Nicola, I thought degrees were recognised anyway and as memory serves me, worth 55 points. It takes a bit of rooting round on the website but you will find it if you read the EOI help guide.

Hi
You're right - if your partner's the main applicant, then you can claim 10 points for your own degree - that's what we did. Basically, you need to look on the NZQA website and there is a list of all the institutions etc, and you will find the reference for your particular degree (I think - it was over a year ago that we were doing this, I'm afraid). You should be able to find all the information you need on the website. Good luck - the forms are a bit daunting, I know...

I only know that I had to have mine assessed in order to register with the NZ teaching council, and I had to have a NZ teaching registration number in order to get PR etc :)
