Hi everyone, here's an update from me. I've been in Auckland for two weeks now and a lot of things already happened!
First of all, me and my 3 year old son Wouter had a great flight with Singapore Airlines. He behaved perfectly the whole way to Auckland, which was just amazing.
He was sooooo happy to see his father again after 3,5 months, he was bouncing around the house for hours with a big smile on his face.
We're staying at a rental in Kohimarama, but not for long!
We've been driving around Auckland for a week, sort of naturally started house hunting, reading the property press and visiting open homes. And the amazing thing happened, we found our dream home almost immediately and after only being here for one week we put in an offer and oh my god we bought the place!
So now we spent two days frantically trying to arrange everything, getting to know the system in a real hurry. Fortunately we have a very nice neighbour who explained everything to us. It's all been taken care of now, and soon we will go unconditional. If all goes well we'll exchange on 19th of June, just one day before our container arrives!
We bought a house in Titirangi, anyone on this forum living there?
So, so far so good, apart from the current weather I'm loving it here.
This is the house, we fell in love with it the first time we saw it:

House looks good, Titirangi is quite nice from what little I know about it. I am sure there is someone from the forum out there, but cant remember who, dont think they post anymore...

See you next weekend and you can tell us all about it...

Hi, lovely house. Friends of ours live in Titriangi they moved from the Uk about 7 years ago. I know what you mean about little ones missing their dad, I had the same thing with my daughter; she missed her dad like crazy when we were apart.
