The warrant of fitness is due on my car ,is it just a quick check or a leave the car at the garage all day check .


How long does it last till it needs another 6 months or a year ?

Take it and leave it Marie. Just the same as an MOT. Mine went in back end of Feb and is due again August, so 6 months.

Do you have the WOF Cafe's up there - you just pop in, get your free coffee and wait for about 10 mins in the lounge with all the mags and papers :nice1 - longest I've waited is 20 mins - no more. And you get to sit by the big glass windows facing into the garage so you can watch them tinker with your car!

Mine failed on the last one because one of the fog lights didn't work - I had a choice - have them removed or have them fixed - I took the car away, had them fixed, and then they re-tested them and gave me the WOF - no extra charge, it's a one off payment and you just take it back once you have any probs fixed and they issue the certificate if it passes :nice1

Its a quick check over, either take it to a garage or an "On Road" depot, sit and wait... easy peasy.

Or leave it if you want, our garage does a mini valet on it if you leave it with them..

There's a sticker on my windscreen - that tells me when it's next due - and tells the nice policemen if I'm overdue :D

Our garage sends us nice letters... but only cos we been there before for stuff...

I should remember the date ours finally got the wof anyway. After all that hassle, it should burned on my brain. :laugh:laugh
