Hi All,

Arriving in August and once OH has a job offer hopefully get work permits sorted out and then intend to call for our stuff to be shipped over.
Anyone else shipped their stuff on a work visa? Any problems or any extra costs incurred?

Yes, we shipped lock stock and barrell, on husbands work visa,you have to give photocopies of your passport including visa to the people who are moving you and these are produced at customs, otherwiseyour stuff won't be off loaded onto shore, no extra cost involved (just for once).

Thanks for that Elaine. Were you granted a visa before you left blighty or once you were in NZ?

We were lucky that Kim managed to secure a job offer prior to leaving the UK so was granted a work visa on that basis, have a look on www.seek.co.nz (http://www.seek.co.nz) and register, also look on www.jobstuff.co.nz (http://www.jobstuff.co.nz), you just never know.
