Diving cylinders

Hi
Does anyone know if uk steel diving cylinders are the same as in NZ as I would like to bring mine with me? Also will I be able to have them tested and filled without any problems

I think cylinders and dive gear are the same worldwide. Equipment is the same as in the US here and I know someone from Holland who uses his equipment purchased there over here.

You should have no bother with your bottles. Its the same standard for testing worldwide.The shippers may ask you to empty them totally, but don't do it. Always leave a little in there to stop corrosion

Where in NZ are you heading ?

Hopefuly we are off to Gisborne. Yes shipper have said we need to empty the cyclinder. Thinking about maybe taking them on the plane.

our shipper told me to empty them too but after a lot of discussion they agreed to let me leave a little bit in. I explained how much presure it was designed to take and then what was in it and mentioned it would be damaged if shipped empty.
