NZ is "famous" for the "outside" lifestyle

AND

Computer and hi-tech equipment seems horrendously expensive over there,

SO

why in most of the houses that we are looking at via Harcourts etc do they have enormous TVs and Home Ents systems...

Perhaps it's just the houses we are looking at, but it really does seem that almost everyone takes their TV really seriously.

Mind you, looking at some of the photos I think We'll need binoculars to see out little 21" Tv at the other end of the lounge!

Cheers

Hmmm, it is a bit strange - we made do with our 20-something telly in the UK and resisted the urge to buy a huge system, but now, the little one is now in the bedroom and the 50" screen now commands the lounge - can't say if they're cheaper here or not though. I think we paid about $3k....

Must be something in the water - it's definitely not their riveting TV offerings!! In fact, we watch a lot less telly here...

That's pretty much how it happened here I think... subliminal messages such as squinting at telly and pacing out distances .... :laugh - before I knew it I had a telly on the shopping list ... !!

It might have something to do with Rugby and Coro Street :D

Nothing wrong with a 42" plasma screen :D

Now we just need the surround sound system to go with it :nice1

(For those days when we can't use the pool - you understand)
