hi guyz,
below are my case details:

- 21 march 06, submitted the ITA with standard medical (pending nzqa report).
received the email from them few hours later requesting for the liver ultra sound scan report.
- 28 march 06, submitted the additional medical report
- 06 april 06, submitted the NZQA

After this, I've sent an email to confirm that I've submitted all the requested info.
VO confirmed it, mentioned that we will be in touch for the next 2 weeks.

- 08 May 06, sent an email to my VO, asking whether any updates.

The strange thing was when I checked my online status page, it mentioned that they've received my Full medical on the very same day I emailed my VO ( 08 May 06).
It also means more than 1 month after I submitted all the requested info.

I talked to the VO yesterday, mentioned that they're still waiting the clearance for my medical.

Just wondering what your online status says regarding the medical?
Any chance that the VO somehow 'forgot' to process my application?

Thanks a lot guys!

This is almost what happened in my case;
-3 April, my PR, SM, application lodged(NZIS Bangkok)
-I contacted PR supervisor in order to mentione that I have a job offer starting June 1st, asking to speed up my case. He replied that they will assign a CO in the next two weeks. Also mentioned that your medicals is sent to medical advisors in NZ and we need to wait for that any way
- 24 April: Received an email from my CO stating that he is my CO and waiting for medi results
-27 april: Online status updated, saying that medical received on 27 April
-5 May: Received an email from my CO stating that medical advisors has asked for repeat liver test and liver ultra sound scan
-11 May: they received my extra medical results
- I contacted with them yesterday to confirm that they have received my parcel and to ask for timelines. This is what replied:
"Your additional medical report will be referred to our medical assessor
for comment. It takes approx 4-6 weeks for the referral process.

We will keep you informed."

my online page is not updated though.

As you see, there is no way to guess how their system works.
Perhaps my english is not so good, but my understanding is that they are going to keep my second medical results for 4-6 weeks and then send it for assessment ?

I appreciate if you share your case with me, because we are in very similar situation.

My SGPT was a bit high 82(Normal maximum 40). My BMI also 35.5
I think that is why they asked for extra tests.
Results confirmed SGPT :83 , No Hepatit C, mildly enlarged fatty liver

I consulted a specialist and he believes that this is not so important and would be easily cured with low callory diet. Do you have any idea what their decission might be? I fear that this tough medical process might keep me down.

Please inform me when you received your results.

sure..
make sure you inform me as well :)

yep our case sounds similar.
my guess they requested for the liver ultrasound scan also because
my SGPT was above the limit (50, the limit was 41).
My BMI was 32.7

at this point I dont have much idea what's going to happen.
my VO so far doesnt seem so informative... makes me quite nervous at this point

OH has a medical condition and his medical had to be refered for assessment. The date received for his medical online status kept changing, probably as they were getting information back... I emailed our CO and she told me it was nothing to worry about, and as it turns out it wasnt...
