Can someone who has applied under the family partnership category please confirm that I've made a **really** silly error.
My NZ citizen husband (who is sponsering me) is included on my residency application and therefore needs a UK police check?

Hmmmm... we're just about to file under the partnership category ourselves and nothing on the forms indicated that I (the Kiwi half) needed a Canadian police check.

I don't see why a NZ citizen would need a police check. Your kiwi half isn't applying for residency, he already has a NZ passport, right? So he doesn't have to prove good character, or do medicals, that only applies to you.

It's step 3 on this page (http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/stream/live/partner/howdoiapply/stepstoapply/) that has concerned me. He's included on my application (at least that's how I understood it). Having said that though, I've found on page 3 of this guide (http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/rdonlyres/EFA678B7-EDE5-49CA-A8FE-74BD75CA30DE/0/10022up.pdf) that it states "every person age 17 or over and applying for residence", which is slightly different to included in the application isn't it?

...but I suppose he's not actually an applicant!
Sorry, panic over!! Thanks for your help :)

He's not supposed to be an applicant, so he won't need a police check, my hubby didn't and he was sponsoring me.
Don't worry.

I'm going to print off the updated residence form as well :)

Agree with all of above. My hubby was my sponsor and he didn't need a police check. It's only you who needs one. Unless your kids are of an age to need one too.
