Hi Matt!
We are moving to Christchurch in August too!! Whereabouts are you going to? Do you have jobs, kids, a house? Be good to compare notes!
We are using Mark CHudley from Chard in Somerset who so far has been ab fab! He came highly recommended to us too from a friend who used him. There will many replies I'm sure from people who have actually done it!
Where are you moving from? It seems that moving firms can vary from office to office so its hard to say that one firm can be good, when one office is great and another is terrible!
Good luck choosing someone!

Hi Matt
Your profile doesn't say where you are, but you can do an advanced search up top, on any shipping company by name.
There have been many threads on shipping companies good and bad. :D:mad:
Or once you have narrowed it down to a couple, ask again here if anyone else has used them.

John Mason in Liverpool are very much worth a call.
Funny you should say that Alison, coz John Mason are coming to my house this morning too!! As they are a local firm to us in Liverpool, and we had nothing but good vibes from them, they are coming to assess our shipping needs today.
How are you doing down there btw? Found the photos from Tatton Park the other day, noticed your lad sitting there asleep with the dog - did you take him with you? (The dog I mean :laugh )

Hi Stevie
We're loving life down here so far. Yep we did bring our pooch with us. He stayed with my sister in the UK until we'd found a nice house and got ourselves settled in and then Golden Arrow shipped him over.
He's settled in fine to his new surroundings and is thoroughly enjoying his long walks and trips to the beach. Well worth the journey he reckons :0) Cost more for him to come than for us 4 together but hey its only money and we love him to bits.
Seems so long ago now that day in Tatton Park...........
Good luck with your plans and hope you find John Masons as helpful and efficient as we did.

Hi Alison - hazy sunny days at Tatton seem so far removed - especially as the UK weather is horrible, raining AGAIN - only seemed to be a few nice days when Diny was up here. It has been such a mixed bag over the last few weeks, rain, wind, cold, odd sun now and again. Ah well, glad to see you are doing fine.
So, back to thread, John Mason - the guy came yesterday, thoroughly professional. This guy has worked for the company for 37 years, his father did too, until a container dropped on his hand and severed 3 fingers off his hand!!
Good vibes again. Will see what the quote brings before looking at others.
Steve
