We used John Masons after receiving 8 quotes, they were by far the friendliest of the lot, and were very helpful in answering all of our questions, they were also spot on with the estimated lot which fit into a 20 foot container (JUST)!

It took 2 days from start to finish, day 1 the 3 guys arrived and began the job of packing our belongings, they were so efficient in one instance too efficient as they packed our bag with all of our passports, tickets, visas all of our future life was packed into 1 of 189 boxes, lucky we realised this on the night of the first day and managed to rescue it, we were all sweating at this point!! (lesson learnt, put all important documents in the car, if you're not taking it of course).

Day 2 the crew arrived to complete the packing, this was complete by midday, at 2pm the container reversed down our tiny close, and then the task began of packing (the container looked so small compared to all the boxes to fit in it). We took the easy option and went out to lunch, when we returned the container was packed apart from a few items, looking we thought no way these would fit in and after discussion with the crew we decided to leave them behind, to our amazement they would not be beat, they said they had done so well, there was no way they were leaving these few things behind, after further juggling it was all in!!!

The driver returned from his cab after being asleep for the duration, we signed the documents, a secure seal was put on the door and away went our belongings, our house was empty, that's when it hit home we were off!!

10 weeks later our belongings arrived at our new home, (they wanted to deliver the week earlier but we weren't ready) it was like christmas, the kids were so excited to be reunited with their much loved possessions, we were gob smacked by the amount of stuff we had, we were by this time used to living out of 3 suitcases!

Our goods were delivered this side by The Moving Company, and again they were fantastic, we have had absolutely nothing to complain about, the whole thing was almost a pleasant experience.
MAF charges were 220 dollars, again they came out to inspect what they picked out, and we had no problems.

Would like to wish all of you going through the move the same luck that we had, and hope you all have a pleasant experience too!

Tracey & Adiy :cheers :clap :clap

hello we used gb liners they got everything here in one piece nothing mising nothing broken and the teams both ends were brill.. Heard a lot of bad things said about both companies GB liners and NZ vanlines but have to say perfect with our move both companies. In england the team there sent one container away because it was damp and they had to stay past there finishing time for the next one to arrive . When it did arrive they even let me get in it with them to show me what they were checking for before they filled it . WELL DONE BOYS if your reading this SPOT ON. :D

We used Britannia and they were BRILLIANT from start to finish. Great bunch of lads in the UK doing all the packing, NZ Van Lines this end - 100% brilliant too.

Nothing - and I mean nothing got broken, the only 'damage' was a 'kink' in one of Mark's belts that wouldn't come out. But seeing as i actually packed that I can't blame them can I?

I would recommend them anytime, and would use them again in an instant.
