We submitted out EOI on the 17th May 2006 and are waiting patiently for the Draw on the 24th May 2006.

But it did not happen..... :confused:

Apparently they were having technical problems so it was posponed until the Thursday 25th May at 1.00pm.

As a result of the technical issues being experienced, the EOI selection that was due to take place on Wednesday 24 May 2006 has been delayed to allow more time for clients to submit their EOIs. The selection will now take place at 1pm Monday 29 May 2006 (NZ time)".

Heidi - somewhat similar technical hiccups have happened before, I seem to remember. Although this one is a little unusual in that NZIS' first estimate at problem-resolution time seems to have been re-thought, the existence of a hiccup didn't surprise me that much.
Also, I think they are trying to be fair so that folks don't miss a drawing because of cicumstances beyond the user's control.

By the way, I remember very well waking one morning during our online-EOI period about 18 months ago, and finding that our points tally had been lowered seemingly without reason. On coming to the forum and posting, we quite quickly saw that others' points totals had changed that day, too.
After a couple of frantic faxes to NZIS -- or parallel to them perhaps -- NZIS realized that a recent technical upgrade (I think) had caused the computer to tally points incorrectly. They later published info about this and assured folks that the tallies would be corrected/restored.
(Unusually, ISTR, I think it was a hiccup that I happened to stumble on pretty much before anyone else, even NZIS themselves. :o . I was just online at the 'right' time to discover the consequences of the computer error very early, and could alert NZIS and the forum.)

But I'm rambling...these technical hiccups are rare and NZIS are usually good about resolving them. Even so, as you are probably doing, it's good to keep an eye on the details of your online EOI from time to time while it is being submitted and then while it is being considered after selection. As you can see from the above, you might be (among) the first to spot an error.
