Mark,

Happy to confirm that there are no conditions of any kind on the visa.

All it says is

"the holder may travel to New Zealand and on application be granted a residence permit"

Also got a 2 year rrv, which starts from my date of entry into the country.

So you still have to appy for a residence permit?

Is this more cost and waiting?

I think the residence permit may be stamped in your passport when you arrive. I'm sure I've read that somewhere.

foolsgold99
30th January 2005, 10:38 PM
When you land the residence visa, gets turned into a residence permit.

I think the guy at the airport does something to it with a stamp.

markkellaway
31st January 2005, 01:16 AM
Yes, from what I've read the stamp is the right to a permit, rather than a permit in itself. I think it's just a matter of choosing the right queue at the airport. As you are already in NZ Helen it will probably be different for you.

Mark. :P

Douglas

Hi Mark - the stamp is in fact the permit. :yes

I posted this on the 21st January in the Lounge:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After discussions with several forum members over the last few days, we’ve been putting together a survey page to build on the excellent thread Creelara started about EOI, ITA and PR timings.

The first part of the page is a simple table summarising the information that people have been good enough to enter in Creelara’s thread.

The second part of the survey page is a form to enable people to easily add new or updated info to the table. I’ve held back in doing this for some time owing to my reservation that I don’t want to use anyone’s info without getting their permission. Therefore I’m placing the link to the table here, in the members only part of the forum. If you don’t want your info to appear, please PM me so I can remove your info from the table.

Then, all going well, what I’d like to do is make the survey available for everyone on the site to use.

Please feel free to use the form right now to update your old info or, if you've not taken part before, to add new info. :nice1

The summary table is here:

http://www.emigratenz.org/immigration-application-timings.html

The form to add or update info is here:

http://www.emigratenz.org/immigration-application-timings.html#form

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please feel free to PM me if you didn't see the announcement in the lounge and you want your details removed from the survey.

Better still, if you haven't filled in the survey yet, please do - it only takes a minute and it helps everyone. :yes

Beautifully done Douglas.

I fear the end is nigh for this thread I started one frustration filled Sunday evening back in October.

We are now waiting for our passports to come back with the stamps. We had a(nother) minor delay with Creelara-ette's passport. It was due to expire in April but it has to have a minimum of one year to run before they can stamp it. Just as well I work within walking distance of the Glasgow passport office.

We are a house-sale away from the rest of our lives.

Creelara.

Creelara - thanks for coming up with the idea, I think it's become one of the most visited threads :clap

Douglas - thanks for taking the time to put the info into the survey, definately a very useful place of reference :nice1
