I has established that we can get a mortgage on a Work Visa provided we have a hefty deposit - does anyone know how long do you have to have been emplyed by the same company before the bank will approve a mortgage?

Our bank was prepared to give us a mortgage only 3 months after my husband started working. We actually applied for one after 4 months, but I therefore don't think it's an issue how long you work at your employer. Our bank is the ASB by the way.

We had only been in the Country 4 days, hadn't even started work, but Kim had a job, ASB said that they just needed to get in touch with company just to confirm that he was working for them, and we were only making enquiries:D
