Just been getting things together for our trip to NZ House tomorrow, :yes eg: job offer, evidence, documents, when bang i had a nasty shock. :eek :eek Quick look at Immigration website, i find i need a NZIS 1113 form something to do with my prospective employer needing to fill it in so i can produce it with my application for work visa. :no Oh I'm here, he's there, i know email him with facts hoping for quick email back with attachment, no fax him, yes do that. :nice1 Quick call to him filling him in with details. Then bang!!!! :eek Phone call results in answer from somebody in office"he ain't here and won't be until tuesday, you see its labour weekend. :eek :no :eek :wah So i am at the mercy of immigration and hope they will put my file on hold until he can fax details through to them. :hopeso
Should have known better i remember someone posting about this form a while ago but forgot all about it.
Keep your :hopeso for me.

Kim relax a little, put a note in and/or when you speak to your emigration officer, and explain to him/her (pc) about your anguish that it'll be forwarded by express delivery to her desk the nest day after you recieve it.
Linda had a similar thing NZIS needed to see she'd been emplyed in her position for the last 10years, and we did'nt have this so long story short, payslips (not 10 years worth) we're supplied in the interim.
Chin up. :nice1

No need to do the headless chicken routine mate, Ali is right.
When I got my letter back from NZIS saying that my forms etc had been received, they said something (can't remember exact wording) about any further documents that would/may be required should be sent by registered mail.
Just make sure you get names, direct telephone numbers, ref numbers etc so that you can be sure that anything you send at a later date will be landing on the correct desk.
Good luck for tomorrow - keep us posted.

Good thing I'm finding this out right now as I was about to submit my visa application tomorrow. Is this really a required document? Then I'll send it straight away to my future NZ employer.
One other thing. I will be applying for a 2 year visa for which I've read there's no need to include either police checks or medicals. Well I haven't done the medicals but I do have the police check here with me. Should I include that as well or is it just a detail?

Feeble,
Quite proud i have contributed to this forum on a positive note. Right, you have to produce this NZIS 1113 form along with your job offer, must say all though it is important to your application for a visa, if you don't submit it at the time it can be forwarded at a later date, it just means your application is on hold until they do receive it. Informed my future employer last night. I'd downloaded it from immigration website and faxed it across, he immediately completed it and faxed it through. Now onto your 2 year visa. If you request one for 23 months you will not need those medicals, but for the 2 year one you will. Police checks are needed for however long you request that visa for. Remember the police checks last for 6 months.
Hope i have been of help and good luck with it.

Thanks Kim, means a lot :nice1
But how do I say on the application that it'll be for 23 months, I haven't seen a section where you can fill in the duration of the visa.

Ok feeble. On the application form you will see a section for submitting a date that you will enter NZ along with a leaving date. Slot your dates in these boxes, this will determine your 23 month visa. Should you wish to reapply for another visa then go for a longer one and get your meds done in NZ, you will find them much cheaper, but only speaking from a UK angle. Don't know how much they cost in Belguim.

Don't know that either :no
In the meantime of our chat here I've sent the NZIS 1113 form to my future employer and hope to receive an answer by tomorrow morning, so that I can still pay a visit to the embassy tomorrow.
I'll also include the police check with the application.
Thanks a lot Kim, I guess they would have caught me on surprise otherwise tomorrow. We'll have a :cheers on that one day in NZ !!!

Feeble ,
Glad i could be of some assistance. If i didn't make that one last check i wouldn't have known either. It is not that important from the angle of taking a trip to immigration, as it can be submitted later, but it does stop all the hassle in one go.
Sorry i couldn't reply earlier as i have just got in from a nightshift. Hope all went well for you.

No worries Kim. I didn't make it to the embassy today as I'm still waiting for that form, but it should arrive tomorrow. So tomorrow's the big day then I guess :cheers

Hey Kim,
Yes I received the fax this morning and went straight to the embassy.
The woman at the reception looked into my documents and everything seemed to be present :nice1
I was told that it can take up to 3 weeks for the visa to come through, so :hopeso
How exciting... :cheers
