lol, I'm going bonkers today! Just worked out that some members are due over in October and by then, I'll be nearly 5 months in!
We're having visitors at the end of July and by the time they arrive, we'll have been there 24 days!
Anyone think I'm obsessing? Is it just me, please God tell me I'm not crazy!

No - not just you. I think along these lines all the time. Before we came here my folks were planning to arrive at Christmas, my initial thought was 'we'll have been there 6 months by then'. This very morning in the shower I was thinking 'this time last year we were just about to leave'. Then I was thinking, we've been in this house 9 months etc etc.
Thinking about things in terms of 'time' .... 2 months since this, 3 months since that, is all quite a normal part of what you're going through. The one thing that has amazed me is how fast this year has gone !!
This time last month I was back in the UK, this time next month I'll be in my new house.
One thing is for sure ......... this time next month you'll be in panic mode !!!!!!

Oh thank God, I thought I was going nuts!
This time next month, it'll be the eve of the vow renewal and farewell party, damn right I'll be panicking!
It's hard to think that in 30 days time, we give up this house and make ourselves voluntarily homeless for 5 days!
I think I just hit panic mode.

We went through the same thing. Although when we first moved out we kept clinging to the thought on hubbie's parents coming out in November. My friend coming out near the end of the year.
This year however we're much more focused on the short term and thinking what we've got to look forward to in the next few weeks rather than 6/12 months away :D
I think in some ways it's just a way of dealing with emotions and timescales of everything. Our first year in NZ has gone so quicky, I'm still trying to cope with the fact that we're already June and my daughter is turning 4 next month ! ! And in 6 months time I'll be back in the UK for a holiday without the kids :exit That time will come around so quickly for us.
You'll soon be enjoying NZ's winter and wondering what all the stress was all about :nice1

Dawn,
You've got me thinking about numbers and times :uhoh. I will be homeless in 14 days (maybe good thing as house will be sold). I will have to spend 63 days at the MIL's :wah. Then 10 much needed days of therapy en route :cheers before finally arriving in New Zealand :D .

Well Dawn if you are mad then so am I! :laugh
I am absolutly, totally obsessed with our move now. The first thing I do when I get to work is check the forum, I just can't seem to get motivated for work anymore. It has been such a long process for us and now it is only four months away - 126 days :) I'm just so sad! :laugh

Congratulations jubjub & fam
Dawn your not mad, I just wish I could start to put some solid dates down to work to. I count down to son starting school in the UK. Plan how quickly we could possibly compleat on a house sale. Try and work out the full range of possible alternatives, rent house, stay until after Xmas bonus, take less money for the house and OH stay in UK to earn the difference.....
Head is hurting...
Off to practice the house sale mantra again.
