I've just received my ITA today :D

I was wandering how long this next part of the rollercoaster will last. I've got a job offer and they would like me to start ASAP. I'm waiting for my police checks (sent off 2 weeks ago) and my medical is on Tuesday (Which I was told would take about 2weeks for all the blood results to come back).

Is anyone able to give me example of their time frames so I can work out a more realistic start date for my contract.

How long has it taken everyone else to recieve their police checks back?

What is the processing time from submitting your ITA to receiving your PR?? Also any tips to get it processed quickly!

Thanks
Sarah

I can't wait I'm soooo excited!!!

Hi Sarah
The police checks take approx 40 days and I dont think there is any way of speeding them up. We have lived and worked in New Zealand for 2 years so it only took 3 weeks from submitting the ITA to residency. With a job offer, I think your application will take priority but I think the only way to help things along is to make double sure that you submit all the information they need.

Sarah

You can't hurry up your police checks but could mention it to the doc, they may speed it up.

Don't forget to provide the job offer and contract details to NZIS too.

Good luck and let us know how you get on. :nice1

Thanks - Will speak to the doc and see if they can get it done any quicker.

Is there anyway to speed up the process when it is being processed by New Zealand House??

I have asked that question to NZIS but they said no as everyone is in the same position if you have a job your application is assessed quicker though but no que jumping :(

Hi Sarah

See my sig below for our time frames. I think our police checks were pretty quick (2-3 weeks), but seems to vary depending on geography.

Good luck :nice1

hi sarah

most people who have jobs only seem to wait a week or so from sending in their ITA to getting PR - assuming of course that your application is all in order.

40 days is the maximum the police are allowed to take - it may be quicker but in most cases seems to take roughly that.

good luck with it all
