Hi everyone!
Here i am again with my questions, i guess everyone had to pass through this process.

My question now is: if we go to NZ in a Tourist Visa wich allows us to stay just three months, we can apply for the work permit if we get a job offer, my doubt is: this job offers has to be in the skilled immigrant list? or it can be any kind of job as long as it is permanent?

We are trying to figure out what is the best option to go. The thing is, we have just three months to get that job offer!! And what if i get the job offer but not my husband? can we both stay?

Thanks all for your beautiful answers!!!

:)

Hiya
We went to NZ in March to look for work and somwhere to live before we decided to emigrate. If you go to the local immigration office and pay $140 you can get a work permit. Dont know how long its good for ie 1 or 2 years. Hope this helps you. ;)

We did the same thing, but OH job offer was on the skilled shortage list. Might be worth asking NZIS the question before you come. It may be that your potential employer has to do a labour survey (which will prove that they could not find a kiwi to employ) before you will be issued a work permit. However, I can answer the other question...If one of you is issued a work permit the other spouse will get an open work permit to look for work.
