Hi everyone :)

It was great to meet the forum members at the Fourm meet in Taupo back in March...we had a great afternoon.

It's been a while since we have posted (moved house, computer problems and illness, it's all good fun!) but here is our experiences with our shipping, hope this helps!?

We used John Masons in the UK. A representative visited our home and assessed our items for shipping...he was very friendly/ helpful & knowledgeable about our destination. We received quote by post a couple days later, it wasn't the cheapest (or most expensive) quote that we had but the middle of the road & because we had heard good reports of John Masons we decided to go ahead and use them.

They came the day before we flew out to pack our worldly belongings & it was a bit stressful, but I think that was more me rather than the packing! ;) They packed everything quickly and where very friendly throughout (they like plenty of cups of tea & chocolate biscuits!)

Our shipping arrived in NZ 5 weeks later (they had quoted us approx. 8 weeks) so it was abit of a surprise when we received the letter with all the MAFF forms to complete, but a nice surprise! At this point we enclosed a cheque for $169 for the MAFF fees.

Our shipment took approx. 10 days to get through the MAFF without any problems and the items where delivered to us at an agreed time & date by the Moving Company in NZ.

We are pleased to report that only one thing in our shipment didn't survive the journey and that was our new recordable DVD player. Luckily we had taken the extra insurance for this. We shipped glass christmas ornaments that have been in my family for years, glass vases, pictures and lots of other delicate stuff and everything arrived in excellent condition. Fantastic!

We are just at the moment claiming through the insurance we took through John Masons (which again wasn't the cheapest) but it has no excess to pay and we should have a cheque on it's way to us as i'm typing this.

All in all we have had an excellent experience and would not hesitate to recommend John Masons. :nice1

Hope this is of interest and if you would like any further information please just get in touch.

Kind regards
