...at an altitude of 30,000 feet. Wireless access on planes ROCKS!.

Singapore airlines allowed us to change to an earlier flight so we are going to be spending all day in Singapore before getting refreshed and getting onto our NZ connection. I thought at first we weren't allowed to leave the airport, but apparently you can, which is pretty cool.

Excitement all round ;)

I didn't know you were allowed to leave the airport. God when I think of the boring hours spent there!

Hope all is going well, let us know your progress when you ger there. :D

They have wireless routers installed on the planes & the internet conection is via satellite. If you have your laptop with you, you just need to ask the cabin crew for the access code. I'm not aware of any other airline which offers this service to Economy passengers. I like Singapore Airlines - cheap fares with plenty of frills :nice1

That's cool - posting from such a height. By the way - Emirates offers this internet access service too. They'll also recharge your laptop for you so there's no limit to how much fun you can have !!!!!!

Hope you enjoy Singapore and see you over here soon.

Sadly it's not free with Singapore Airlines - it's the Boeing connection package they use which can be quite expensive (USD10 for one hour).

But now in Singapore Airport in the exec lounge (Worked out cheaper for a shower than the Transit Hotel) where the wireless is free.

they have internet connections in every seat on Cathay Pacific, you have to pay to connect..so I waited till I got to the Travellers lounge at HK where it was free, as we'd booked for a 5 hr stopover
