Having researched and visited the Coromandel area, we are now looking at other possible options. From what we can gather from the web and books etc. Whangarei in Northland seems to offer everything that Coro does, but with a larger population and considerably cheaper propertys.
Given the state of the uk housing market and general £>$ trend, it is looking a distinct possibilty.
If anyone has first hand experience of Whangarei, please, bring it on.

I've sent you a couple of PM's not sure whether they've come through! Basically I'm after your opinion of Whangarei. Any info would be gratefully received, like what are the 'good' areas, and what are the residential areas to be avoided. Info on primary schools etc.
