I must admit I did not check this one out before we left.

If people decide to return to the UK then what are the rules regarding the repatriation of cats and dogs to the UK?

As long as they meet the PETS requiraments then you can ship them back with out quarantine.

Hi Rabbit

Took my cat to vet recently and I asked her about the process for pets returning to the UK, she said that my cat would need to have a rabies jab and you must begin the process about 6 months before you are thinking of leaving NZ.

yep that last post was correct, we have a friend going back to the UK with her dog and she has needed the 6 months to get it all sorted with the rabies jab, think if they have that they may be eligible for the Pets Passport scheme which means they can be taken to Europe etc.
