Hello everyone,

Would anyone know if there will be any complications on the ITA processing or timeline if my dependent is pregnant though I have a job offer included in my application? We have a 21-week baby on wifey's womb and a job is waiting for me in AKL.

I got my ITA sitting for about 8weeks now and our medicals are still with the medical assessor. Results of our meds were good (well, except mine which has almost negligible SGPT rise=40.5 and an :( abnormal findings were commented). :o

Is there anybody out there in space who has the same situation as mine? :wah

Thanks,
BeN0k

Hi Ben0k

Welcome to the forum.

Dumb question but have you spoken to NZIS to see if you can hurry things along as you have a job offer?

I'm unsure where you are applying from but if in the Uk it should move quickly.

Good luck.

I think others here have been pregnant while doing the ITA. You might ask this on the general board to see if others can help.

Hi I was pregnant when we applied. It was not a problem - I just didn't have to have an x-ray or have my bmi calculated - the dr also did an ante natal check while I was there (I was about 28 weeks at the time). I got PR a week before Alex was born and once he was born just had him added to our PR (he just needed a very basic medical). I know that's not the same situation as you, but your wife's pregnancy should in no way hinder your application, espcially as you have a job offer.

Thanks smiler, tigerlily and K&CS for all your replies.

I just had a repeat LFTs and will submit the additional test results. Its good that my preggy wife and my 2 kids were cleared. however, I have to wait another 4-6 weeks for the medical assessor's recommendations, gosh! I thought PR applications are given priority, but it seems I am riding the same lane as with the normal processing times. I will try to send a follow-up email to my CO to reiterate the urgency due to my job offer. Hopefully, I can sort this all out soon. Thanks, mates.
