It's early days and we haven't even done our EOI yet. My OH is a joiner and we hope to get into NZ via the skilled migrant route.
Before having our family I was in catering (only ever had basic qualifications), but used to manage a small hotel, bar work, waitressing etc. and I really want to start a B&B somewhere in the Havelock/Picton/ maybe Nelson area, depending where OH finds work.
I'm assuming that we can just buy a property (maybe one that is already running as a B&B) and just get on with it. Is anyone out there in the catering business or do you know anyone who may be able to give me some advice. If they're expats did they have any problems?
