Wasn't sure if I should put this under Vacations and activities or here?

Well we've been here for 8 months, entered the electoral role in February (I think) and OH has just been called for jury service. :D Is this a record?

His employer said they would apply for him to be excused as a vitally important person, yeh right, but he refused to take them up on it. He managed 25 odd years in the UK without being called and is looking forward to it. He says if nothing else, any waiting around time will give him a chance to catch up on some reading.

Anyone else had experience of being called here?

PS when the letter came I thought it was a speeding ticket I'd picked up. :roll

Debs,

Friends of ours here in TA have been called up too, but they have been here 2 years so no record i'm afraid. The person in question Lisa is absolutely bricking it, but i have assured her it will be fine as i did two stints in the space of 5 years in the UK, and very interesting it was too. One was a drug case, and the other was all and nothing i'm afraid. Am sure hubby will love it:nice1
