This might not be the right place so apologies but..
Does anyone know how much a taxi is from the centre of Christchurch to the airport.
Need to decide whether to drop the rental car off in town and get a taxi ($x), or drop it at the airport with a $35 airport fee.

I've never taken a taxi from centre to airport so I'm not sure about prices. A lot of car hire companies in Christchurch have offices within a mile or two of the airport. They are quite happy (at no extra charge) to collect you from the airport and take you to their offices to collect your car. Similarly, when you take the hire car back to their offices, they'll give you a lift to the airport.

There is a shuttle bus (van) that goes from airport to city (or vice versa) for only $5.00 per person!! Or you can catch the bus, which is probably $3.00.
