Good evening all!
Hope there is someone out there that can help me with this. We are having lots and lots of visitors come out from the UK to see us here! Thats all great HOWEVER...I was wondering, our son is coming out here to visit and I said I would buy him the ticket! Would it be cheaper to buy him a ticket from this end or from UK end? I can do either it really doesnt matter. If anyone can help please PM me with some good cheap flight sites (either NZ or UK) or just post below if thats ok
Regards
Craig

hi craig ,
I've had a look at this quite a bit as my step son will be staying in UK with his mum - it seems to be far cheeper to buy a ticket from UK - & for my money you can't fault singapore airlines ....

Trailfinders got us the cheapest fair in the end .. their sales-people are usually very helpful and informed. We flew Singapore (highly recommended) and with Trailfinders got a free children's ticket that nobody else offered us.
Are you allowed to book flights from NZ if the journey originates in the UK? I seem to remember my OH asking this question and being told it wasn't allowed .. might be wrong?! A flight from UK to NZ in May is obviously out of season (flying spring/summer to autumn/winter) whereas flying NZ to UK is obviously heading towards peak season (flying autumn/winter to spring/summer) .. and we all know how airlines like to squeeze every last penny out of us. :(

Good point that Dawn. Don't suppose it matters if you use a UK address even though you paying for the ticket. If they are for your son, there shouldn't be a problem, you are only providing the funds after all! Go for it.
