Hi Leachie!

Yes, that's what I put down, and my EOI was accepted and Decision Successful, so I assume that was the right answer!

Good luck!

Hi Im in the process of finishing our EOI and I want to make sure that Im doing it right. Hope you guys can guide me on some of the questions in EOI, like in question

F4a. Has your qualification been assessed by the New Zealand
Qualifications Authority?

do i need assesment even if my school is in the list of recognized qualifications? If no, I can just leave the reference number blank? And what do you mean by type like the preliminary, interim and full.

Thanks in advance

Hi Ryandmi

My uni is also on the list, so I didn't get my qualification verified by the NZQA - no problems yet! :nice1

I just left the NZQA spaces blank.

Sorry! Yes, I meant university. Our EOI has been "decision successful", and apparently they double-checked the uni info, so no problems yet! ;-)

Hi another question about EOI completion........ we have just submitted our EOI today. Will there be any issue if we just got married last January 2006 (less than a year married). I think I read in the NZ website, that you have to be living together for at least 1 year........... is this true?

We were thinking that the migration processing time would take a year so we decided to submit the EOI already.

Hi!

Yes, that's how I understood it - that you don't have to be married for a year, but you must be living together for a year.

Sorry! I might be wrong, you know - why don't you email the immigration people and ask? They're always so friendly and very quick to respond!

You need to have been living together for a minimum of 12 months and be able to prove it, eg joint bank account statements, council tax bills or utility bills jointly addressed to you both, photos of you both together (preferably with dates on!)

im a bit worried now because we opened our joint bank account january of 2006 but we have pictures that we've been living together for a year now hopefully it would be enough proof. praying its not going to be a problem.

how many months do we need before we have to submit all the paper works for ITA?

You say you have pictures showing that you lived together prior to Jan 2006. Well, thats fine, but do you also have any joint bills/reciepts prior to Jan 2006. Rent book/contract, telephone/electricity or other utility bills ? Or anything with either of your names on it, but showing the same address ??

Once you get your ITA, you have 4 months in which to return it.....so technically, if you don't recieve your ITA until, say, the end of July, you will have until the end of November to return it.

You don't need to be married for 12 months prior to application, but you must have been living as partners for 12 months.
