I am not sure, if I will choose Wellington or Auckland. But for job reasons, it will be one of the two.
I plan to stay a week in each city during August/September and decide during the trip. From a “remote view” I favour Wellington at the moment.

Hi Jerry,

We also prefer Wellington right now. We travelled around in August 2004 and liked Auckland, but Wellington felt more 'right' for us, despite that fact that it didn't stop raining when we were there! We felt that Auckland was a bit too spread out. However, we only saw the centre - in retrospect, I would have checked out a few suburbs as well.
