My husband is currently working towards a degree with the Open University, with the aim of becoming a teacher. So far, has achieved 60 of the required 300 points towards this. (Open University points)
However, he gained a Certificate in Social Sciences at the end of his year of study.
I am also thinking of taking the Adult Education teaching certificate with a view to teaching Holistic and Beauty Therapy, and also taking the NVQ Assessors qualification too.
Has anyone had any experience of these qualifications...would they be recognised in NZ and more importantly, would they give us a few extra desperately needed points?
We are still very much in the research phase and are in no way ready to start the EOI process...but we do want to be prepared and would really appreciate any advice you could give us. :)
