Does anyone have any information on Roxburgh - it looks beautiful, but is it too remote for a young family? I hear there is a good school close by, but not much in the way of industry for work. Any thoughts?

The bus I was on stopped in Roxburgh. My impression was that there's nothing there. They'd love to have more fruit pickers if they could get them.

Why not look into Alexandra instead? All of Central Otago is beautiful in a different way.

You cannot beat actual experience over romantic notions! I suppose the answer is not to focus too much on any ideas for locations until we've been there. It's good to get opinions, though. Thank you for your help.
