Just a quick warning, we signed on with Nationwide before we left the UK, as we heard they were particularly good for people overseas.
However, not only did we have problems transferring our initial money over, but now we're having problems doing simple things like, paying our credit card on-line.
They have said that this is a problem at their end, and they will be fixing it, but 5 weeks later and we still can't perform normal transactions. To top it all, in the last week we have been unable to email them to tell the problem still exists, as their messaging service doesn't work.
I guess the moral of the story is always have a back up UK bank, which you can access online, so when one bank goes down, you still have a way to deal with any money in the UK.
Anyone else had problems with their online banking?
Cheers
Tia
