After several years of thinking and debating the merits of moving to NZ, lurking here off and on over the past year, we submitted our EOI last week and were drawn from the pool today. My wife and I have 140 points based on age, qualifications, absolute shortage, spouse, but no job offer.
For those that may have seen my post in the Immigration Medicals forum (http://www.emigratenz.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6940), I went ahead and listed the current situation in the EOI, figuring it'll come out sooner or later anyhow. Glad to see that it wasn't an issue, at least up to this point.
We're looking to go to the South Island, Christchurch or Nelson. We'd prefer Nelson (who wouldn't?), but expect that jobs in IT will be harder to find there.
Now comes the hectic part I guess. Maybe see you around!
