Does anybody know what time of year primary teachers need to apply to schools is?

Also my OH has just completed her PGCE yesterday. Apparently she has to work in a school in NZ for 2 years before she is fully qualified (I guess this is equivalent to the NQT year in the UK?).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, from what we've heard, September onwards is a good time to apply for jobs starting at the beginning of the school year in January. Hope that helps.

Regards,

Debbie

Hi we have seen the teacher we know and got some info for you . Apparently if you are a newly qualifed teacher you do have to do the two year thing but if you have some experience under your belt you dont. best time to apply for a job september . She did tell us two web sites for you to look at but we had been partying will have to ask her again. she did say it was harder to find primary school places but high school jobs are pretty common. Will get the websites for you when the headache has gone. Cheers Cardy and Bev :cheers
