Approved in principal, visas should land in about three weeks! :eek
I think I've just experienced what Paras call ground-rush, only it's more like "reality-rush"...Zooooomm, G'Day mate, you're goin'...
Sincere thanks to all who've helped me along the way on this board, not that I'm going anywhere, just want to say it. :nice1

Thanks to everyone for their support :nice1
Hello Linda, hopefully by late January, my new boss wants me there as soon as (pressure already!), but we quite like the idea of a few days hols somewhere en route. None of us have ever been in that part of the world so far, so the temptation to stop and tour is too strong!!
Hello jo b, the house goes on the market this week. This will be the main sticking point I think, especially with others' experiences on the board with a dodgy market. I know I'm far too tight to drop the price, :laugh , and 'er indoors has got the place up to show-house standards so she's not gonna budge either!
Thanks to everyone, and for the PM's, gonna try and steer through a hangover whilst steering my little bin-lid to school now...on foot, not driving! :laugh

I know what you mean about getting the house up to show home standard. Ours is the same and it's killing me !!!!!!
PB is adamant that we're not going to drop the price either - and I have to say I agree with him.
I was reading on AOL a couple of days ago a report regarding the current state of the housing market. They predict that we have 'almost' bottomed out. In other words, it won't get any/much worse. It will stagnate for a while and then there will be a VERY gradual increase in property value (nothing like the boom of recent years though). I guess those predictions are very general and allow for all eventualities ... but hey - they work for me.
Good luck with the house sale. We've even advertised ours on E-bay this week. Don't expect to sell it but in the first 12 hours we got 54 hits so at least it's getting some extra exposure.

Hello Diny,
Never thought of ebay, good idea! The other thing is the general slow-down at this time of year anyway...people don't want to confuse Santa with sudden chimney switches :laugh
Here's to getting through this quickly, this phase has got to be the where the stress is!
