I've been reading that some people have been selcted with 110 points with no job offer, no quals in an area of skill shortage etc. Is this correct? I'm a bit confused as I don't think it would be worth it with asI only have 115 points and no job offer etc. Has anyone here been selected with similar points and circumstances. Thanks.

The way it is at the moment, and I am willing to be corrected! On 115 points and no job offer they would seem to be pulling a minimum of someone with bonus points for a qualification in an absolute skill shortage area. Nothing to say that they won't pull under this criteria at some point but they haven't yet.

I think you should go for it! We got picked with only 125 points, no job offer.

And in the latest picking, the following were selected:
"All EOIs between 115 and 135 points where there is no points claim for a job or job offer, work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage or qualification in an area of absolute skill shortage. These were ranked in descending order of points."

I'm going for it with 100 points as what is there to lose other than the EOI filing fee?

I shall continue to plug away with job applications (not easy from the UK I am finding) and if my circumstances change, hope I can advise them likewise.

I am just about to submit with 115 what's there to loose. I have also found most agency have not returned emails until I had booked flights for a 5 week reccy,. Now my in box is full and I myself have had 2 telephone interviews for jobs and my husband also 2. Weeks ago we had none. So I definately think it helps if you say you are on your way.
