Hi all,
What are the top job sites of NZ, which are reliable. What is the chances of getting one if you are outsite of NZ. Currently I in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, working in the field of IT/Computer and I have good experience in this field.

Hi Askme

We found seek.co.nz very helpful. (OH is also in IT) But we also found that nobody wants to talk to you if you're not in NZ! :wah

Hope you have better luck!

Hi Askme

I have been dealing with my OH job search he's in IT. So far Robert Walters actually advertises on SEEK for overseas applicants and has a seperate division. Its on SEEK as GOING HOME? full time - Aucklands - inner email leanne.carter@robertwalters.co.nz. We are going over for a reccy so we have booked to see them. But they took our details without being there.

Real Recruitment also deals with overseas applicants, I should know they have all but offered me the job to work for them. Have had lengthy discussion re the job so I know they do work with overseas applicants. www.therealthing.co.nz. They are a preferred supplier for NZ Immigration. Kristin Johnston [Kristin@therealthing.co.nz]

Apparantley there are only 10 recruitment agency that are good and actually placing people. All you can do is send your CV to everything you see and make you covering letter say you are interested in any positions, and say you are booking a flight in the next 4 weeks. Then they get really interested. Once you have them emailing you, I have had 5 agency reply since I said we were coming in the last 2 days, then its worth booking your flight and getting over to NZ so they know you are serious. You can alwasy cancel your return flight if you get lucky.

Good luck

Angela
