Hi everyone, if you remember I said on Maries thread yesterday that I had an interview today, and I hoped that some good luck would rub off...................
well it worked....but only after I went to the interview, just under 2 hours before it, my daughter turned me gray by ringing and informing me that she'd just got airlifted to Hospital :no :no ahhh I thought....then thought - shes on the other end of the phone...shes not in a coma - turns out she had a spill off her horse, has hurt her pelvis & hip, but was on a stubble field, so they had to airlift her out!
Nothings broken thank god, but shes bed ridden for now! - good job she has my MIL etc to look after her.
So after that little scare, off I went to do the typing test etc...interview (hate them) and then they said that they had 3 more to interview so they would make a choice on Monday.....
went off thinking OH WELL...I'll cheer myself by going shopping for the boys furniture, just in case...ever the optimist..not
They rang my mobile...while I was in Briscoes and said Did I want the Job? :nice1 ...he he so I start Monday!
its just around the corner, so I dont need a car, I will be home before Rob so I can start Tea (good wifey arnt I!! ;) )
so there You are...I am sorted and can start saving towards our house.

Congratulations on the job and I'm glad it wasn't anything more serious for your daughter. That's got to be the number one worry we all share when leaving close family behind :(

hi guys thanks for the messages
Rachel rang me last night shes doing ok after a sleepless night, as she hurt the side she sleeps on! She is more worried about loosing her bottle to compete and Jump, as after having Cole she seems to have lost that edge....I said its understandable (don't know if any of you sporty women out there have had the same problem) but i found that when I fell off before kids, I just got back on, but then I didnt have any major falls till after having the 3 rugrats. then it changed...gone was my..I can ride anything attitude, and I started to question why I wanted to Jump some 6ft ditch when I could go around it, or ride someones loopy horse and sort it out for them, when they were scared to get on it?? :laugh
So I said to her it was Natures way of protecting Cole, but she can work on it if she really does want to reach the top....she will have to think what her REAL asperations are, while shes laid up...to work out what is really her most important goals.
I also told her to get to a Proper Sports Physio, as soon as she can so that she can properly recover, as GPs often give the wrong advice by saying rest and dont do excersise...well they did to me, and I am paying for it now with my hip....NOT looking forward to sitting at a desk again,
But thats why I took this job, theres a multitude of tasks to do, so I can move about the office instead of being stationary...oh and I get to take SMOKO???...teabreaks I am guessing, with the parks staff....they have both girl and boy gardeners! so I can get chatting to the locals!
I tried not to dwell on the accident, but yes it is a worry that she rides everyday, often on her own. BUT theres not much I can do about it...so all I can hope is that she LOVEs this place (NZ) when she comes in January and moves over ASAP... :laugh ...
PS
I celebrated my Job by buying Cole a Merino Sheep, from the save the children charity shop (its new) and it Bahhhhhs! :D
and we saw some land for sale............so were off to have a gander at the weekend!.....I fancy building our own house...FULL OF INSULATION AND HEAT!!...Haha
oh well, I was going back to bed after dropping rob off at work at the ungodly hour... of 7am...BUT he'd turned off my leccy blankie!!!...first time since we got here!........TYPICAL!
So I ended up staying up.....but now the suns up, and starting to make a peep through the clouds, so I'll just put the kettle on instead.
