Hi all
I finally have access to this forum. I have been reading for some time now the various threads and it helped a lot. A little bit to introduce ourselves.
We (hubby & our15 year old son) are from Mauritius Island, guess you are wondering where is that? A small dot in the Indian Ocean, a sunny paradise. don't know why we are dreaming of going down to freezing point !!!!!! The reason we decide to move is to give our son more opportunities , In 2 to 3 years time he will go to university & the field he wants to study is not available here/ I think all of you who have children will understand.
Already filled EOI in Skilled Migrant category, reached 125 points , I think we will send this week but I still hesitate. Do I need to look for a job first? Hubby is in IT, an ATM technician. Don't know if he will have in this specific field. Will need to work as soon as we set foot in NZ. He was not at all interested, I have been doing all the reasearch and now he is in as well.
Don't know yet where to settle? would prefer where there is sunshine and nature. It's a bit scary and I have mixed feelings, sometimes it's excitement and sometimes it's fear.
